Why do we need Foster Parents?
Foster parents are the backbone of any rescue organization. They supply a valuable service by offering homeless pets a temporary home while H.A.L.O. seeks to match them with the right adopter. The more foster caregivers we have, the more lives we can save.
What is a Foster Parent?
A foster parent is a person or family that offers shelter, care, and love to an animal in need. The foster parent is matched with a foster animal that is suited to their home and lifestyle. Because many foster pets that come into the program have been traumatized, foster parents’ essential responsibility is socializing their foster pets with their family in order to build trust. Foster parents who wish to take on additional responsibility may also care for special needs animals.

H.A.L.O.’s adoption specialists will help to determine the best fit for you. H.A.L.O. provides all food, supplies, and medical care.

FOSTERING
Volunteering is a fun way to meet new people and form new friendships. It’s also a great way to help your community.

Volunteers are the heart and soul of H.A.L.O. They provide necessary services that enable the organization to fulfill its mission. Imagine a world where every dog and cat has a warm bed to curl up on. Imagine a place where our furry friends have not a care in the world; their biggest concern being whether they can get everyone in the room to scratch behind their ear. This is the world our volunteers strive to create for thousands of abandoned and abused animals.
Volunteer Opportunities include:
  • Office/Admin help:
  • Help at adoptions at the pet store - Set up and Tear down
  • Helping with Fundraising and Events
  • Creating Social Media Content
  • Grant and Fundraising research

The proceeds from the sale of your donated vehicle are very helpful to H.A.L.O.!
Car Donation Services, Inc. is a local, registered commercial fundraiser that takes good care of our vehicle donors and us.  CDS has been in business for over 15 years. They are fast, courteous and professional.  CDS uses a variety of ways to sell your vehicle so vehicles, on average, sell for more, which means more money for us and a larger tax deduction for you.
To donate, please call 1-888-686-4483 and tell them you want to donate your vehicle to H.A.L.O., or complete the online donation form at www.cardonationservices.com.
