On May 31 and June 1, H.A.L.O. participated in the Maddie’s Fund adoptathon. The annual event is an adoption opportunity as well as an occasion raise awareness about our most vulnerable pets, especially senior and special needs animals. It’s an honor to serve alongside Maddie’s Fund, an organization that is revolutionizing how we treat and live with animals. Due to Maddie’s Fund’s exhaustive efforts and sponsorship of the Pet Adoption Days, H.A.L.O. was able to find homes for 52 cats and 44 dogs during the weekend.
The grant money is designated for programs and services that support medical and/or behavioral rehabilitation of homeless cats and dogs. A portion of this grant will go into our Little Troopers Fund. The Little Troopers Fund is a fund we established to help with the expenses for those animals in need of extra medical attention above and beyond what is considered normal expenses we incur in getting cats and dogs ready for adoption.
H.A.L.O. would like to thank Maddie’s Fund for its continuous support and generosity and allowing us to participate in such a wonderful event that helped so many animals find their new forever homes!
